Life Learning Adventures Is A University Level Curriculum Created For

Autistic Students, Graduates & Employees.

 

Life Learning Adventures is our proprietary on- and off-campus curriculum geared for autistic junior and senior-level university students, graduates, and company employees as their lives unfold into careers and independent living. 

 

Our 16-Week Physical & Life Skills Training culminates with a life-changing adventure!

Life Learning Adventures is a 16-week evidence-based program that incorporates PEERS® Social Skills Training with visual time management, organization,  problem-solving and physical training. Participants learn essential social and executive function skills and apply them through focused activities, including the planning and preparation that ends with an active Life Learning Adventure to world-class destinations such as Grand Canyon or Africa's Mt. Kilimanjaro.

 

EXPANDING HORIZONS - REAL WORLD APPLICATION

  • Life Learning Adventures feature a world-class destination, interaction with local people and their culture, lessons in history, local traditions, art, geology, and the surrounding environment

 

  • Life Learning Adventures feature world-class destinations, interaction with local people and their culture, lessons in history, local traditions, art, geology, and the surrounding environment.

  • The Life Learning Adventure is designed to reinforce the weekly training participants have completed and to teach new life skills along the way. 

  • Our guided Life Learning Adventures are created to meet the needs of our participants and their families. Raise The Roof staff and seasoned local professionals lead every adventure to ensure the safety of each participant. 

 

  • Physical activity geared toward all fitness levels and ability is a cornerstone of each adventure. By the way, they are also a lot of fun!   

 

Over the last decade, we have seen our students grow their self-confidence, interpersonal skills, and self-reliance – all while expanding their horizons beyond life on the spectrum as they know it.
